Hovering over the festival activities is "Willie-Man-Chew", the world's largest mosquito. Willie is a 26 ft. Texas mosquito, complete with a cowboy hat, boots, blown up wings and a big stinger. Willie is a favorite of all festival visitors, and he makes a great photo souvenir. Willie also does festival promotions throughout the year at other events. 

The Executive Swat Team and the Clute Parks & Recreation Department are preparing for the best event ever, with the celebration of our 37th Annual Great Texas Mosquito Festival, to be held at the Clute Municipal Park, Clute, Texas. This event now draws 14,000 festival patrons to our area each year. Our event offers Food, Arts & Craft Booths, Carnival, Numerous Contests, and Live Headliner Entertainment on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. So Buzz on Down with the family for a good time in Clute, Texas!
